S.G.N.D. Khalsa College features a long and illustrious tradition in sports dating back from its very inception. Some of the aims that the Department of Physical Education strives to achieve is to evolve students in a wholesome manner through physical activities and develop their knowledge of a movement and safety alongside their ability to use this data to perform wide selection of activities related to a healthy lifestyle. College excels both in the individual and team games, many of our students have represented Delhi University in Interuniversity Championships and All India Interuniversity in various games.
 
In 2006 that the College appeared in the international arena through the exploits of Rohit Bhakar in the field of badminton who won Arjuna Award for his achievements in the special category.

One of the outstanding athletes to come out of this nursery is Lalit Mathur, an athlete of international repute with NMR in 400 meters in All India Inter-University Athletic Championship, Mangalore. He has also participated in Commonwealth Games-2014-15, World University Games 2015-16, South Korea, and is the recipient of silver medal in National Games Kerela-2015-16.
