About the Cell

 

IIIC- The Industry Institute Interaction Cell of Sri Guru Nanak Dev KhalsaCollege provides a platform for both faculty members and students to illuminate the industry expectations for student skillsets.

It facilitates the exchange of ideas amongst students, educators and the industry allowing them to communicate information more effectively.

Industrial exposure is an enlightening way to gain practical expertise and the cell aims at providing that to students by helping them explore and discover how theoretical concepts are put into practise, thereby aiding their practical learning experience. Through this approach- we aim to improve the learning process at the institution, allowing it to produce high-quality graduates and

demonstrating this interaction to be beneficial for both the institution and the industry over time.

 

Objectives

 

• To strengthen the institute's engagement with the industry, resulting in a mutually beneficial partnership

• To allow students to become aware of their skill deficiencies and provide them with an opportunity to ameliorate

• To organize  Faculty Development Programs to keep faculty members' expertise up to date with the fast changing environment

• To sign  Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with industrial organisations to collaborate on subjects of mutual interest

 

Vision

 

The vision of the cell is to increase the employability skills of students from our institution at an industrial level by equipping them with relevant and conceptualized professionalskills and guiding them towards a bright future and career all across different sectors with aptitude in- Knowledge, Efficiency and Effectiveness.

 

IIIC's strength is focus on improving links with the industrial sector, as well as providing students with relevant skills that they can apply in their future careers.

 

Mission

The Mission of the cell is to train the students to meet the growing needs of the industries and provide best skill opportunities for growth and learning. The cell aims to organise and coordinate various    programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent institution. The cell will not only acts as a facilitator for training and networking but also works towards overall development of the students.

 

Goals of IIIC

• To inspire and encourage students in making informed career decisions.

• Assisting them in becoming industry-ready.

• To prepare students to work as ethical professionals with a wide range of skills.

• Using FDPs, assist faculty members in learning new industrial requirements.

 

Roadmap Ahead

• Expanding the cell and involving various students in the operations that will be carried out for the cell.

• Conducting workshops to improve the skills of students and faculty.

• Organizing industrial trips so that students can obtain practical knowledge.

• Connecting with industrial corporations to provide students with job opportunities.

• Organizing Faculty Development Programmes to assist faculty in staying up to date with changing corporate practises and expectations.

• Signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with a variety of organisations in order to interact in a mutually beneficial manner.

• Using our social media handles to share information about the industrial sector.

• Organizing industrial fairs at the college so that industry and potential applicants can network and expand their relationships.

• Organizing variety of events/competitions for students to participate in and showcase their skillset.
