About the Society

Haven Tails is the official Animal Welfare Society of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, working towards the care, rescue, and rehabilitation of stray animals in and around the campus community. True to its motto “Voice for the Voiceless” the society believes every stray, whether dog, cat, or any other voiceless being, deserves love, dignity, and an equal right to exist.

Operating in association with People For Animals (PFA), Haven Tails undertakes rescue operations, facilitates adoptions, organises feeding and vaccination drives, and conducts awareness sessions and shelter visits across Delhibuilding a compassionate and active student network for animal welfare.

Past Events

17th July 2022 -Haven Tail (formerly known as The Desi Club Society), in collaboration with YUVA, took an initiative to feed disabled and injured stray dogs at Perroayuda Welfare Foundation, Rohini.
26th July 2022 -Haven Tails(formerly known as The Desi Club Society), got registered as an individual society after presenting the memorandum to the Principal of the college.
15th August 2022 -Haven Tails (formerly known as The Desi Club Society),organised an online live talk session on animal welfare with animal activist Ashish Joshi.
17th August 2022 -Haven Tails (formerly known as The Desi Club Society),visited Perroayuda Welfare Foundation Animal Shelter House, Rohini, to feed stray animals and spend time with them.
23rd October 2022 -Haven Tails(formerly known as The Desi Club Society), organised a talk session titled “Noiseless Diwali for Voiceless Kids,” discussing ways to keep animals and pets safe during Diwali.
11th November 2022 - Haven Tails (formerly known as The Desi Club Society),conducted a feeding drive for stray animals near the college in Karol Bagh.
15th January 2023 - The team conducted a blanket and bedding distribution drive for stray dogs in Connaught Place, New Delhi, to keep them safe during winter.
14th February 2023 -Haven Tails(formerly known as The Desi Club Society), organised a fun gaming session on campus to promote vaccination awareness for stray dogs.
10th March 2023 - Haven Tails (formerly known as The Desi Club Society),organised a live music session in the college parking area to raise awareness on Parvo and Distemper in stray dogs.
