About the Society
Project S.E.V.A. is a volunteering program by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, University of Delhi, in partnership with the well-known NGO Youth for Seva. S.E.V.A. stands for Supporting and Empowering through Volunteering and Assistance, reflecting its goal of encouraging students to positively impact society through volunteering.
The program was officially launched on March 4, 2021, through an online event attended by respected guests, Mr. Venkatesh Murthy (Founder of Youth for Seva) and Ms. Nikita Kashyap.
Objectives of Project S.E.V.A.:
1. To work closely with Youth for Seva and take part in different volunteering activities.
2. To organize seminars, webinars, field visits, and workshops on socially relevant themes curated by Project S.E.V.A. over time.
3. To implement community outreach programs focusing on areas like education, healthcare, environmental issues, and social welfare to create a meaningful difference.

Past Events
1. On April 29, 2024, Project S.E.V.A. organized a heartfelt visit to Matrichhaya Orphanage (Rohtak Road) to bring joy to underprivileged children. Volunteers engaged in storytelling, interactive activities, and meaningful conversations, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and laughter. The visit concluded with the distribution of fruits, tiffin boxes, and stationery and our commitment to kindness.
2. On October 4, 2024, Project S.E.V.A. visited Guru Nanak Sukh Shala, an Old Age Home, to bring warmth and companionship to the elderly residents. Volunteers engaged in heartfelt conversations shared moments of joy over music and tea, and offered roses as tokens of love and respect. The visit served as a reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of meaningful connections.
3. On 16th October 2024, we conducted an orientation session to introduce students to the society’s mission and initiatives. The session included an overview of past projects, a video showcasing impactful community outreach efforts, and a discussion on the true essence of SEVA. The event concluded with inspiring words from the convenors, leaving attendees motivated and ready to embark on their journey of service and transformation.
