Cyber clan was started as a tech support society that provided other societies of our college IT enabled services. Other than this in year 2019-20, Cyber Clan conducted workshop on Photoshop basics, workshop on poster making in association with Photobug society of the college. Also, society helped designing brochures for the Annual Fest Surlok 2020, however event got cancelled because of lockdown.
In session 2020-21, Cyber Clan changed its scope from being IT society to a society that supports all aspects of Cyber World. With new challenge of Lockdown we organised various events and activities through webinars, competitions and Social Media activities. With the ideas and endeavour of the new team, we embraced the opportunity and channelize the knowledge through their active social media series and three mega-events.
To connect the students and industry, Cyber clan organised weekly online series and awareness campaign to develop skills and expertise relevant to current tech trends. We conducted Cyberspace Series to expand the tech and cyber related knowledge; Techie Tuesday is a weekly quiz sessions which explores and enlightens the peers with interesting tech based quiz; Retro Tech sessions that provide insightful facts about some past finest retro tech inventions; and By end of the week, we have “Update of the week” that give glimpse of the entire updates of the week.
In Year 2021, Cyber clan conducted a webinar on “Cybercrime- Harassment in Digital World” by Advocate Prashant Manchanda. The aim of the webinar was to enlighten the participants about the dark side of the Cyber world & how one can protect oneself from the harassment in the Digital space. The sessions highlighted various real life cyber crimes and its investigation angle from law point of view, ways to protect ourselves from such cyber crimes and also what resorts are available under Law when it comes to cyber crime. It was very interactive sessions with lots of insightful facts.
On 10th of March Cyber Clan organised Competition based on cryptography and cipher techniques skillset “Rootkit- A heist to escape”. With the enormous response, the event enjoyed participations all over country.
On the 15th of April, CyberClan organised “Zeppelin”, an event which was intertwined with the business aspect and blockchain technology to test the knowledge about blockchain technology and challenge the business mindset of the participants. The society got a positive response & the event provided an opportunity to all the participants to analyse their skills.
Cyber Clan is motivated to conduct and organised many more events and activities to continuously educate and enhance cyber knowledge both in practical and theoretical aspect amongst students.
