About the Society
The Enabling Unit of Sri Guru Nanak Dev khalsa College was established in 2011-12 to ensure "Equality of Opportunity" for all members of the Unit. In year 2019-20, Enabling Unit get its name as Umang by Dr. Anju.
The main aim of this Unit is to develop awareness in the higher education system and also to provide necessary guidance and counselling to differently abled students.
Past Events
Umang the Enabling Unit, is one of the most hard-working passionate group in the college.
* The Enabling Unit holds various discussions, seminars, workshops, competitions to make all students understand that everyone must feel comfortable in their own skin.
* The goal of Enabling unit is that we aim to sensitize and equality not with prejudice and pity.
Achievements
Students actively participated in all events and won many Prizes. Unit President Raju Bajpai won in District Level Weight Lifting. Jitender pal won National Award in cricket, State level medal in swimming,1st Prize in (Race) Sports Tournament. Santoshi Won 3rd Prize in (Race) Sports Tournament. Pratima Won 2nd Prize in (Race) Sports Tournament.

Umang society organised inter and intra College level Games for differently abled students at Tyagaraj Stadium
Umang the Enabling Unit, has Organised various lecture series for student benefit. All the Speakers answered every question very well. This was nice session.
Umang has organised ‘Lata Mangeshkar National Music Competition’ Every Year and every student performed very well.
Umang has organised various Competitions. This program was organized to bring out the art of the students.
College has been awarded grade ‘A’ for Cycle 2 of NAAC Accreditation.
