Surlok programme was organised by the Kalam society in the year of 2021,in which inter college competition was organised. Three competitions were held in this programme. The theme of the programme about Kisan Andolan. Prizes were distributed to the winners.faculty members and students participated in the program.
KAVITA DE ANG SANG
On 9 October 2020 'Kalam' society organised KAVITA DE ANG SANG, in which Head of the department Dr. Baljinder Singh Chauhan expressed his views with respect to the poetry. Poetry competition was organised on this occasion and prizes were distributed to the winners. Dr.Baljinder Chauhan gave some tips about presentation and reciting the poems.
GURU NANAK KI VADYAI
On 7th Nov. 2019 the holy occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated and programme was organised. The chief guest of the programme enlightened the faculty members and students about the various aspects of the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was discussed in the program.
AAO BANIYE GURSIKH PYARA
On 24 Sept, 2019 Aao Baniye Gursikh Pyara Association collaborated with Punjabi Department organised a 'Gurmat Quiz' in the supervision of Oftg. Principal Dr Gurmohinder Singh, It was dedicated to the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in which about 150 students of our college participated.
ART AND MEDIA
A workshop on art and media was organised by Kalam society on 18 September 2019. Two most admired personalities such as Mr Surjeet Akre and Mr Misha Singh shared their valuable views with the faculty members and students. The college principal Professor Gurmohinder Singh told that everybody has erred in their heart and mind.
KALAM DI SALANA EKTTERTA
On 22 August 2019 Annual gathering of Kalam was organised by Dr Baljinder Singh Chauhan (Namwar-Ghazalgo) in which he trust upon the three basic forms such as Punjabi literature, poetry drama and prose and he presented his views on the genre of Punjabi Poetry.He also told the students about the importance of rhythm in poetry.He also gave detailed information about open and close poetry to the students.
KAVITA TE KAAV CHARCHA
on 17 January 2019,Kalam Society organised a Panel discussion- 'Kavita te Kaav Charcha' where many distinguished dignitaries like Sukhwinder Kamboj (U.S.A), Surjit Judge and Sukhwinder Amrit (Punjab) performed in the presence of the chief Guest, Secretary Punjabi Academy S. Gurbhej Singh Guraiya and presided by Dr Jaspal Kaur, Head of the Punjabi Department, DU.
PUNJABI RANGMANCH SAROKAAR TE SAMBHAWNA
On 5th April 2018 a program was organised by the Kalam society on the said topic. It was the national seminar on the Hindi and punjabi rangmanch. Dr Satish Kumar Verma, Gurbhej singh Guraya and Ravi Taneja were the chief guests in this program and they enlightened the students with their valuable views.
RUBARU
A rubaru programme was organised by the Kalam society, in which society organised online program and Dr Parminder Sodhi shared his valuable views about his book titled as “RABB DE DAKIYE’ with the students and faculty member.
College has been awarded grade ‘A’ for Cycle 2 of NAAC Accreditation.
