About the Society

The Giddha Society is the Girl’s Folk  Dance Society of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College. The society  mainly performs the Punjabi Folk, popularly known as, Luddi.  The team participates in various folk-dance events during the  Inter-College Fests. The main aim of the society is to showcase  the unique Punjabi Folk Dance to everyone.
Past Events
•The first event that the team participated was “Surlok”  which was held on February 13, 2019 at Sri Guru Nanak Dev  Khalsa College. 
• The second event that the team participated was “Josh”  which was held on February 15, 2019 at Ramanujan  College. 
•The third event the team participated was “Taringini” which  was held on February 16, 2019 at Miranda College. ⮚The team also participated in “Saarang” and “Lashkara”  held at Mata Sundri College for Women and Sri Guru Teg  Bahadur Khalsa College. 
•The team performed at the event, “Sohni Punjaban – Grand Finale” held on January 25, 2020 at Guru Gobind  Singh College of Commerce. 
•The team participated in the event “Engifest” held on  February 14, 2020 at Delhi Technological University. ⮚The team also, got an opportunity to get featured in a  music video during the time. 
•Another event in which the team showcased their talent  was – “Saarang” held on February 24, 2020. 
•There were two other events held on March 1, 2020 at  Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College and Daulat Ram  College.
•Lastly, the team participated in the event “Taarang” held  on March 6, 2020 at Swami Shraddhanand College. 
•Due to lockdown, the society took up online mediums  to introduce the Fresher’s about the society, it’s  purpose and various activities. 
•The team also held Auditions for the new students in  which they showcased their talent to become a part of  the society and the were welcomed whole-heartedly.
