Academic Societies

The academic societies of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College function as a proto-academic bodies that seek to extend the scope of teaching-learning outside the confines of the classroom, more particularly by investing the student members of the group with the agency to set agendas, plan events, and execute their vision. These academic societies are extremely pertinent bodies that play a crucial role in enriching the mandate of the prescribed curriculum by extending its reach to people, ideas and occasions that are located outside the former’s purview though not necessarily beyond its perception. Academic societies retain their disciplinary integrity in terms of their organisational structure, membership, and domain interest. However, they can choose to collaborate with other societies within or outside the college to enliven or diversify their offerings. Every discipline of study in the institution has an academic society that works closely with the concerned department toaugment and vitalise its academic calendar and keep the participative nature of teaching-learning healthy and alive in the college.
